Rifugio Gitschhutte - RIO DI PUSTERIA

Very nice place. We were here with our two little kids when climbing Gitschberg in July 2022. Conveniently located at the end of a hiking trail and next to a skiing lift. The food was excellent, the staff very friendly and accommodating. The kids loved the large playground which is attached to the house. Great views from atop. We will come back here!!

Require to pass the red track before reaching the hut, however, worthy : Here is more ‘family atmosphere’ and all meals are regional sources and handmade. All serves are big and reasonable price. I recommend the homemade paste or something with Bacon(speck . The Tiramisu is cheap and should be shared for 2 persons. The coffee here is just okay.
