I traveled home and needed a quick bite to eat the way back through ring gold. I remember a good Mexican restaurant at the main train, but I found out it was closed. I saw a local cop and asked where the best Mexican restaurant in town is and he led me to this restaurant. At first glance, you wouldn't think much because it's in a strip-mall and not very big or have all the imagination stuff, but the food was very good. I grew up in Texas at the border with Mexico, so I know authentic Mexican food and that's it. I saw the reviews about slow service, but my experience with nothing but extraordinary. They were very friendly, attentive and served exceptional service while I was there. The place wasn't very crowded, but it was later in the evening. You will find many parking spaces that are safe for campers etc. the lot is so big. The food was delicious and properly cooked. I only had the cheese enchiladas with beans and rice this trip, but will soon post the next trip. I would recommend this place and tell them I sent you. Peace outside safe and happy food
Enjoy the food and service. You have a good and hot salsa. Try if you're brave.
I had the chicken fajitas and they were very good. The staff were attentive and friendly considering our large group of 25+ people. My son didn’t like his order and they actually offered to swap it out for something different which was very kind. Worth a visit if you’re in Ringgold.
This is an undiscovered gem of a new restaurant. They have refurbished a previous Chinese restaurant and it is bright and clean inside. Salsa was awesome with a little heat, just right. Wife had the steak fajita burritos, and they had nice little extra touches like red bell peppers and roasted corn mixed in with the usual fajita veggies. Steak was tender. I had the best chicken tamales (dish came with three) ever. Many places the masa wrap is too thick and so the tamales are dry, here it was the perfect ratio. Plus red sauce, cheese, sour cream, lettuce, pico and sliced fresh avacado, they were the bomb! Wait staff were very attentive, drinks never went dry. Will definitely be back! Update: back the next week, had the Enchilada Vallarta and remembered to take a picture this time. Grilled chicken with diced poblanos onions on top of two cheese enchalidas and a side of black beans, just fabulous!
