Contribuiți la feedbackI see a lot of good reviews for this restaurant, but personally, I was not a fan. Maybe I 've been spoiled with the great Chinese food available in Montreal? The lady at the counter shouted at us more than she listened to our order. We ordered a beef broccoli, and pad thai, with a bottle of orange Crush. My partner showed her the bottle of Crush 3 different times while at the cash, so she would know to charge for it. She saw it, acknowledged it, and nodded while saying oui, oui . Once our takeout was ready, she started yelling that we didn 't pay for the drink (orange Crush . Confused, we said we thought she charged us, and that we showed it to her 3 different times to remind her. She started looking for the receipt (still shouting . Not wanting to bother with the dispute, I gave her the extra $3.00. We then went to go find a place to eat outside, and it turns out that we got a beef broccoli, and *fried rice*?? (no pad thai I 'm not sure how she heard fried rice (even in french it 's riz frits from pad thai? Perhaps it was drowned out by her shouting? My bf went back and got it changed there was no issue there. By this time, our bus was leaving so we had to eat it on the bus. Both the beef broccoli, and the pad thai, were *EXTREMELY* salty. Now, I 'm not one to shy away from salt by any means, but this was so salty, it was absolutely inedible. Even after I spent 20 minutes mixing the beef broccoli with the white rice, to try to dilute the saltiness, it was still WAY too salty to be edible : . My bf 's pad thai was just *slightly* less salty than mine both inedible though. My bf mentioned he watched the lady pour down a bunch of white powder on the grilling plate with his pad thai noodles and the miniscule spoonful of other ingredients. We 're not sure if it was salt? MSG? Maybe a seasoning containing both? We 're convinced that this excessive amount of white powder is the culprit for the food being way, way too salty though. If the cook could taste the food before serving it, I imagine it would help immensely. Either way, I think we 'll be avoiding Fu Dat for future.
Nice little restaurant with quick service. I didn 't speak a word of French but managed to get a fantastic meal. The wonton soup was, simply put, 'just right '. I have now tried two dishes and enjoyed them both. Food made with love and care, thank you. I will come back every time I am in Rimouski.
Amazing Tom Yum soup and Tonkinoise soup! The flavors were very balanced and everything was well cooked! The matcha bubble tea was also amazing and it went well with my meal! To be honest, the food was perfect. It made me wish that Montreal's Chinese restaurants could do the same so I could enjoy good Chinese food more often. The only downside to the restaurant was the slow service but to be fair, there was only 2 people handling over 5 people's orders so I did not mind waiting a while before I could order anything. Overall, I would gladly go there to eat everyday if I could. I really recommend trying their food as my friends were also enjoying their different meals as well. It is a great place to have good Chinese food with decent prices.
Excellent food and service! Was visiting from Ontario and stopped to get takeout for the night and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the noodle dishes and the general tao chicken. One of the best Chinese food we had tried!
