the village burgery - Richmond

Stopped at Village Burgery for a quick lunch. Had the cheddar dog and regular hot dog. Quaint little restaurant. Outside seating. Order at counter. Food was excellent. Beautiful area and views. Highly recommend the food and area

We stopped in for a quick bite before the ferry. Yes it's tiny but we found the owner to be charming. Our meals were very good, burgers fresh and tasty and fries excellent. She was worried we were cold and made us complimentary tea!

Normally we would not patronize the Village Burgery because seating is very limited and to be very candid the food leaves much to be desired. This cafe as well as the Pierside Deli struggle to stay alive so we try to patronize them as much as possible. We ordered a corn dog and a oyster burger plus fries to share, I suppose they were alright but the coffees were terrible.

The diner/concession has a very small foot print, in fact there is only room for a couple of tables and the premises are very chilly (January) especially when the door opens. Our burgers arrived very dry, overcooked and lacking taste and flavor. I understand that a few tables are available outside during the summer months.
