Contribuiți la feedbackLate in Richmond and thought of a meal when we drove right by. You need to know what you expect. The place is huge with several screens that show sports that no one actually observed, so it is loud. We had three... different servers so were never quite sure who took care of our table; that was no mistake, they seemed to have any other function, but we couldn't find out what. For us it was not the place to sit and have a nice meal, it was eating and out, but it would be a group for a meal and drinks.
The worse culinary experience ever. From the beginning to the end not good. went with family and friends to our wedding day dinner. They said wait for 20-25 minutes never got the msg, so called after 35mins and said our table was ready, but... they couldn't send the msg to my phone, which I immediately after I called them, once went in, they said only table for 4 not 8 people. He waited another 20 minutes to sit inside. The ordered Cesar salad had no coutons and then ordered dynamite rolls and vegan bowl had not RICE . asked us to order something else and said it will take care of them that have never happened. for Cesar Salat brought only half the size was ordered completely and then brought another. I ordered two plates of potatoes. Never got my food everyone was done eating asked twice fist said his coming in few minutes and after waiting another 10 minutes asked again then said she missed that my food would make it now when got my food it was hot and it burned my mouth. No one came to ask if anything needed, horrific service could hear the dishes fall in the kitchen. Never back.
I had a glass of good Australian Rascal white wine and a 6oz Sirloin Steak. The service was fast, polite and efficient. Steak was very well served with garlic potatoes and asparagus. Earls is always pleasant.
Unfortunately, the noise level in this restaurant makes too difficult to conduct a conversation that is one of the reasons why people go in restaurants. Food and service are very important, of course, but if you are not easy to talk to the person you... are talking to him, the experience makes much less pleasant. Friends and I went to Earls regularly, but stopped because of the noise. We decided to try again on Friday and remembered why we are no longer going. With the loud music and crying babies the experience was not pleasant. We also found that it was more expensive when it was once $40 for a glass of wine and half an order of ribs made it an expensive evening.
I had a late (for me) dinner at Earls in Richmond. To say that they were in flagrant violation of COVID protocol would be a huge understatement. There was a group (seven to be exact) that were intoxicated and hanging all over each other. They...seem to be well known so I would suspect that either this is a frequent happening or they are off duty employees. The bar tender spent a lot of time hanging over the bar talking to them and then pouring my beer. Yuck. The hostess was also “hanging” with them in such close proximity that they were touching. The space in front of the hostess desk is about 6 ft by 12 ft. At one time there was 7 people crowded into that space and 2 without masks. The nice manager comp’d my meal, but this will be little compensation if I end up in the hospital because of a meal at Earls.
