Thai Hut - Richland

My wife and I love it here! Best thai food in the area. We started having Thai Food Tuesday after we realized it was here love the curry pad thai.

Good solid Thai food with no real surprises. Isn't the best nor the worst... it's Goldilocks Thai food... just right FYI: They are afraid to spice the white man... So if you like it spicy, go straight for Thai hot and it most likely still won't be hot enough for you. I gave it three stars because they don't use enough garlic or heat. Service is great and friendly. The spring rolls are delicious.

Great place to get takeout in Richland! It's nice to have an alternative to traditional American fare, pizza, and bar food in the area. Seems like you could split or share meals across the table to sample a variety of flavors.

So glad Richland has a Thai place and the food is great I love the deluxe pad Thai. The staff is always friendly and the place is clean.

When they opened my husband had a customer service issue with the owner, but really I believe it was more of a language barrier with the owner and lack of training of our server. He asked if the pho came spicy (like you can get with other types of Pho). The server said anything can be made spicy. This turned out not to be true, but instead of letting us know, she just served it as it is (literally no hot spice at all), then tells my husband that does not come spicy and if I wanted to add it I would have to add some table spice myself. Also, it looked NOTHING like the picture. The only thing in common with the picture was it was in a bowl. Obviously, this was an issue. The owner came out and told him she would bring him something else but he is paying for both the Pho and whatever else he ordered. She did not seem to understand that what was presented was not what we ordered. In the end we got the food to go, paid and left in an uncomfortable and somewhat hostile silence. THAT BEING SAID, my husband ate the Pho a few hours later at home after reheating it and was shocked at how good it was! That was about 6 weeks ago. He recently got it again and described it as the best food he has ever had . He described the broth as so good you could put an old shoe in it and it would taste good. At first it seems there is too much broth, but the broth is what makes this worth having again and again. It is a good mix of veggies and rice noodles. It reheats really nicely. My husband adds spice to EVERYTHING, but this he does not touch. It is perfectly balanced and great for getting over a cold, hangover, or just to enjoy as a meal. The portion size is enough to fill a full grown man. I definitely recommend the food and I 'm sure the server has improved! (They had recently opened and this server had never worked in this type of restaurant before). I will recommend going during lunch if you are watching your bottom dollar as dinner is significantly more expensive. It is a must try, though!
