Staff are super friendly, the coffee is good, and there’s a nice selection of spice Icelandic) books. The seating is very vintage so it feels more like becoming a friend’s house than a cafe!

Iða Zimsen café in central Reykjavík seamlessly blend a library contemporary café aesthetic brilliantly to give a truly unique café experience downtown. There is a very relaxed, cosy vibe here that is really welcome prior to much needed morning caffeination. Their croissants are deliciously flaky and light which went down well with a glorious cup of Americano. Iða Zimsen in Reykjavík is definitely one of my favourite cafés of all time!

They open a bit late in the morning for my liking but the atmosphere is so worth it. They have plenty of tables to sit and almost all of them have a wall plug near. A perfect spot to get a coffee and work for hours
