Contribuiți la feedbackWe speak only English and menu was in English, but not very describing in translation. Eat well, but the side under the stacked eating was cold against hot. I had not asked for any sauces, but they still put sauces on the side that touch the eating and cold eating under my fish. I would have preferred to eat and not contaminated by the witness I didn't want. another person was served raw fish when she had expected it to be boiled, the third person calamari was the worst he had ever had, mostly brot, no intake into the actual food.
The service was excellent, but eating would have more season.
One of the only places in reykjavik ready to take a last minute valentines day reservation. when we went there, the service was a bit slow and I think they were probably underoccupied, but still very friendly and helpful. probably the best lamb I ever had (the Vikingersteak and pretty good beer. absolutely wonderful eating, decent worth for reykjavik, which still means too expensive for what they're paying elsewhere. a precautionary note: my partner has an egg intolerance and while we were assured that there was nothing in it, they came with a reaction that made our last days in island. be careful if they have any sensitivities.
While the location and ambience was really good and was backed up wi excellent service... the fish and chips arrived with very little in the plate. What was there was poorly prepared. The batter on the fish was mushy and the chips were al-dente. The salad was also limp like it has been heat for a time.
We were very happy with our meal here. I would recommend it to visitors.
