Tiki Thai - Reston

The atmosphere here is fantastic, making it a perfect place for a date! It tends to get quite crowded on weekends, so be sure to book a table in advance. The tiki drinks are not only visually stunning but also strong and flavorful. The pineapple fried rice was absolutely fantastic! The ramen leaned a bit on the sweet side, but the braised pork in it was outstanding. For dessert, we tried the Mango Experience, and it did not disappoint—it was very delicious. This restaurant is surely one of the top Thai dining spots in the DMV area!

Delicious Thai cuisine in a fun atmosphere! The restaurant features a beautifully decorated tiki-style upscale setting. Despite being busy during my visit, the service was prompt. I was with a large group, which allowed me to sample several cocktails and entrees; the food was fantastic, although the cocktails were somewhat underwhelming. I highly recommend the panang curry and pineapple fried rice, which were my favorites. I also appreciated that the server was accommodating with dietary restrictions, carefully substituting veggies for meats and even eliminating fish sauce.

My fiancé and I chose Tiki Thai for our date night, and the restaurant was visually delightful. We started with calamari, which I wasn't fond of. For our main courses, I had the Bang Bang Pad Thai, which had a nice flavor, but the noodles were a bit too tough for my taste. My partner enjoyed the Chumphon Pad Thai. I also tried a pink drink (I can't recall the name), which was decent but had too much ice. Another drink, which I think had gin, was quite good. Overall, it's a charming spot that stays open late, and I plan to try their happy hour on my next visit.

I recently had my first visit to Tiki Thai, and I was warmly welcomed with a smile as soon as I arrived. The server was exceptionally friendly and polite, taking the time to assist us with our drink choices. The atmosphere was cozy and filled with a loving vibe, especially with Valentine's Day approaching. The food was delicious, served piping hot, and utterly satisfying. We all left the restaurant with smiles on our faces and full bellies after a delightful dinner. I highly recommend it for anyone who loves Thai cuisine!

This review is primarily focused on one item that was truly disappointing: the Coconut Shrimp. While it looked golden and appetizing on the outside, the inside was nothing but a bland mass of breading. It tasted cheap and was definitely below standard. I was seated in the bar area, but the service was lacking; I was barely acknowledged. I didn’t receive any offers for drink or water refills until I had to approach one of the bartenders myself. To quote Randy Jackson, “it’s a no for me, dawg!” Oh, and I almost forgot to mention the Painkiller #2—definitely skip that as well. It was filled with an overwhelming amount of ice and had very little flavor. I've had much better elsewhere!
