Famous Toastery - Reston

A good place. We got up early and were the first guests through the door, just before 7:30. Service is good, and the menu is varied, with breakfast and lunch elections throughout the day. My wife had her ash with eggs over medium and acid toast. I had an omelette with mushrooms, lynx and dims, cheddar grits and an English muffin. The hash is good, obviously made house (or very good source). The potatoes were apparently cleaned and cut, and the beef was thicker, but small enough to mix well on the fork. Unlike most has it was not excessively salty, so it was estimated. Even the butter deserved a good comment. It was creamier and sweeter than most. And I have to mention the corn bread and the apple butter. I could have done without the sugar on the grain bread, but the apple butter was well structured, tasty and not too sweet, so the combination was good. A good addition to Reston. By the way, I usually photograph the food as shown, but we were distracted and buried. A completely candidate shot can be better, especially for the omelet where you can see the components.

Classic American cuisine offers breakfast and brunch style food. I tried the banana-nut pocket jackets and the house hat. The staff is very nice and emphasize that all their foods are customizable. In fact, the food was all made very good and tasted pretty good. It is a beautiful casual place to eat and spend time with friends.

Our party had mixed reviews. I ordered the sunrise Burrito and was disappointed, wished it had more taste. Others ordered the crab sandwich and a 3-Egg-Omelet and were very satisfied (with the exception that the Omelet had “too much” bacon, not a very serious complaint! Service was good. I probably wouldn't be looking for another visit, but would go if it were convenient.

Everything is made fresh daily! Fantastic breakfast! A huge selection of possibilities! Breakfast Lunch What is one to do???? The staff is waiting for all tables! Never an empty beverage glass that is very important to me!

First time here. The crab cake scramble didn't skimp on the crab although I'd prefer the scrambled eggs not as cooked. But that's me. Waffles are good. The warm Maple syrup on the tables add a nice touch. Real fresh squeezed orange juice!
