Smitty's - Regina

Our orders were basic - Bacon, Medium Basted Eggs, Hashbrowns and Toast. The Shredded Hash Browns AND the Bacon were of the re-heated style. The hashbrowns were dried right out and removed any doubt that they had been on the grill for a very long time (coupled with the blackened clumps). Same for the Bacon which added a new definition to crispy. There is no possibility that the Bacon and hashbrowns were prepared after our order was made. The eggs were beyond hard. Really a poor meal, and we heard two people at the next table say the hash browns were bad, but 10 minutes later we were served the same thing. When I pointed it out after being asked they told me I could get a reduction on the costs. I came for a good breakfast, not a complicated request, and I didn't come for a "Discount". I pay my way, but I don't have to come back - simple. And by the way, I have visited a number of other Smitty's in various cities. If in Regina, for sure go to Normanview Smitty's on the west side. Their food is always excellent and their service is top shelf. But as far as Smitty's East, keep driving and I wish I did. I really chuckle at the photo they have posted on this site, where is that? Not Smitty's on Victoria. Too bad. This is the first Smitty's I have witnessed such poor service and food.

Had the buttermilk pancakes and sausage links. The pancakes were the driest, most awful pancakes I have ever had. No amount of syrup and butter could moisten them up enough. Never again.

First off,, this isnt the right picture or address....it should be 1110 Victoria Ave EAST .Have not been to smitty's in a long time and I have to say, it was a bit of a disppointment. I have the monte cristo and asked that no ham be added so they brought me it without the ham which meant that between 2 slices of the toast I had absolutely nothing there!! I would think that they would at least put more roast turkey in it. So, that being said, it was a horribly bland sandwich. I have to say though that the sweet potato fries were outstanding!! Also, the waitress we had was excellent!

I had the Canadian burger. Very tasty and all I expect from a burger. Will be back again. And I think the trip advisor location is wrong.

The food is comfort. Portions are large. Service is great and the coffee is bottomless. Lots of choices on the menu
