Contribuiți la feedbackI've been here a number of times and I've never had a bad experience. What a wonderful, family-friendly restaurant! I'm always really impressed with the food, service is always friendly. Definitely a weeknight go-to when we don't feel like cooking.
I haven't been to this restaurant for many years. I was there for supper last night and I was pleasantly surprised. Of course, it has been totally renovated since the fire. I was expecting the usual salad consisting of awful iceberg lettuce and a piece of rock hard tomato, but what we received was fresh small leaves of different kinds of baby lettuce and some tomato and carrots. There was even a choice of balsamic vinaigrette as well as Ranch etc and that awful thick pink stuff. I can't remember the name of it but I guess some people must like it. The salad was really good. Our meals came and I had ordered liver and onions, it was really hot. The gravy and mashed potatoes were both hot, <br/ <br/ It was regular run of the mill food but it was a lot better than I have had lately in other similar restaurants. I would definitely go there again if I want this kind of food,
I am new to Regina and have been looking for good local restaurants rather than the typical fast food chains. K Family Kitchen was recommended by family who said they go a lot and really enjoy it. So I came and got the Hungryman breakfast. Things looked good, even when it arrived. But upon closer inspection, one of the slices of bacon was almost completely uncooked and another slice was crispy like it had been laid on the sun. The hash browns were very undercooked but still edible. I figured I would wait until my server dropped by to ask how everything was. Never happened. When I went to pay she asked how everything was and expressed shock when i said not good. She said oh on what happened, so I told her. She said you should have told us. I said no one asked how my meal was until now. She said, yeah, we 're very busy today. That was it. No apology. No attempt to do anything to address it or make it right. Just a $20 charge for my breakfast and a drink. Obviously, won 't be back. Too bad, as in most ways it was my kind of place simple and down to Earth. Just unfortunately not real concerned about the customer.
Service was good. Staff take your temperature immediately after entering the restaurant then provide a seat. Food was good, coffee refills timely, service with a smile. BUT circulation to the entrance/exit was blocked off by a table and easel. I get they want to control Covid-19 access but this is dangerous. If there was a fire the patrons would have to jump the furniture to get out OR BE FORCED to walk past the kitchen which is the most likely source of a fire. The other side of the entrance was blocked with a moveable waiters pedestal. In the event of a fire, people may panic and knock it over and thus further restrict people from the sole exit. I say SOLE exit because the other exit was blocked by kitchen equipment in violation of building and fire codes. 2 exits are required for a restaurant this size. This establishment needs to be PUT OUT OF BUSINESS until they rectify these extremely serious deficiencies. Where is the fire department's inspection?
The place was very clean, nice staff and great food. Everything was hot and cooked perfectly. This is our new favourite breakfast place.
