Contribuiți la feedbackVery very very satisfied with this meal! <br/ The pork katsu sandwich was very delicious! (4.7/5 Crunchy outside and soft and thick inside! (Although I think it would taste better if the pork skin could be abit more crunchier and thicker? <br/ <br/ Soft shell crab burger (4.5/5
This little gem is tucked away from the busy bustling city. Located in the middle of a seemingly residential area in Redfern, stood a cosy little cafe. What I love about most in this cafe was the ambiance alfresco. I like the fact that this place seem somewhat like a terrace house-made-into-cafe. There's a big bright green tree/plant shadowing the seats and tables. I like how the sun peaks thru it's leaves. It kinda gives a quiet, peaceful vibe. Their menu is quite extraordinary with a Japanese twist, particularly their Japanese classic omurice, it was very good! Although, sad to say the matcha french toast was a bit of a let down for me. It was a bit bland for me and was just not enjoyable to eat (althought very instagramable . I don't think I was able to finish the whole thing... Price is pretty decent, not expensive at all, and the staff were all nice, nothing really stood out for me but the ambiance and location, really. : <br/
This cafe is super nice and cozy! The katsu sandwich was a standout, with a crispy outside and juicy inside. I definitely recommend trying it. The omurice was also interesting, with egg on the outside and rice mixed with a tomatoey sauce, ham, and peas on the inside. It surprisingly worked well together. However, the matcha lamington was a disappointment, as it was bland and dry. Overall, it's a nice cafe with reasonable prices that are not overpriced.
Now i understand why Cafe Oratnek is one of the best brunch destination in Sydney <br/ <br/ From the start, absolutely love their booking system, just put your name and number and they send you a text when the table is ready, and you can also see how many table are ahead of you. We ordered all the signatures, the pork katsu was spot on, the ebi pasta is definitely our favorite, and the omurice is probably the best out of all the place i’ve had. I really love their take on traditional western dish with a twist of asian ingredients and flavor. And the matcha tiramisu is a home run, the cake itself is so moist, i love how the bitter of matcha powder combine with a fairly sweet cream. And the staffs was very lovely, would definitely come back another time
Highlight of the cafe Pork Katsu sandwich and Hayashi rice
