Contribuiți la feedbackBlueberry picking season is over, as of September 2nd, the new season of blackberry and apple has just begun. After reading the great reviews from other customers, my wife and I decided to go to Greig Farm, outside Rhinebeck in Red Hook, Dutchess County, just off of 9G for the day.To begin, we have frequented u pick em Farms in the past and must admit Greig Farm is one of the best in the Hudson Valley!! Why?? Let's start with selection. While apples were limited to Empire and Jonamac, the next few weeks will result in much greater variety and selection. As for the blackberries, while there were some fully ripe, most need a couple of more weeks to mature. The farm is very big. After completing the picking $7.99/lb) we went to the market/cafe, down the road a little from the drive in picking area. There you will find a variety of products for sale including, fish, meat, local condiments, and cheese to name a few. Also you can get a bite to eat, the menu is abundant and is personally prepared by an excellent cooking and kitchen staff. You can dine inside or outside where there are picnic tables. Finally, you must visit the Artesian Marketplace. This kind of reminds me of boutiques off of Tinker Street in Woodstock. Also in back of the Artesian Marketplace is a room that can be used to cater parties, very rustic. Overall Greig Farm is a must visit for adults and families!
Had a nice afternoon here. Pet some friendly goats, had a cocktail and admitted the scenery. Opted to skip picking fruit and just bought berries in the market.
Beautiful farm, the blueberries were delicious both fresh and later in the form of blueberry Pancakes. Free EV charging at the Cafe while we visited the goats, ate a piping hot hand pie, and explored the quirky outdoor art exhibit was a nice bonus.
We came in looking for hard cider. We were extremely pleased to find a great selection of other items too. Staff was very helpful too.
Lovely farm, only had blueberries for pick your own . They have a nice food shop and a cafe (no cooked food on Wednesday). Also some goats on the grounds.
