Fields Kitchen & Bar - Reading

All the food was good and worth the money, although there was a hassle with the birthday items at the end. My son is 15 this year, he doesn’t carry any ID on him during his birthday. The service was extremely poor. Every single waiter was just talking with each other around the ordering systems. We only saw him in 40 minute increments which is ridiculous. Large chunks of 8 waiters were clumped up at the bar etc., and just wouldn’t stop talking to each other. The waiter was also extremely unsure with the menu resulting in extra time wasted asking the manager (probably just his ‘friends’ that were clumped together. Probably would not chose to come here for any other occasion or on a regular basis.

They were out of a lot on the drink menu such as captain when have their drinks were made with that also their expresso machine was broken as well for an expresso martini. Took very long for serve to come to the table as well. Went back after dinner and our waitress at bar table was having personal conversation while we were waiting and waiting for the check. I had to go find her to get it never said have a good night nothing just put the check on the table and walked off

The service was good, however, the food was at best warm when it arrive. No one finished the meals because they became cold.

The place is good for a quick meal. They had a DJ on Saturday night so expect loud music. I ordered the beef brisket and it had a lot of fat. Potato soup was very salty. Tuna appetizer was good as well as the tuna entree.

I had been here before but the two people I brought had never been there. They could not stop talking about the place. The over all look, the staff and the great menu. And we were all very happy with the our meals. When we were leaving we were already discussing the next time we want to come back. Thank you for a pleasurable night out.
