Ravenshoe Hotel

Wow. To walk in those doors is like stepping back to a bygone ear. Love the function room with the ceiling full of fairy lights (it would be like dining under the stars). Loved the dining area with the beautiful original wooden fittings and fixtures and the fire place. Ask the publican about the massive original painting hanging above the fire place and you will get a story that is interesting and informative about the history of the area. The food was massive but tasty - huge servings. The staff are very friendly and helpful. This is a must see on your holidays in the area. I loved how the manager told the couple to come back tomorrow and go upstairs to the balcony after grabbing a bottle of wine to share so they could watch the sun set from the highest point in town. Nothing here is too much trouble.

Amazing dinner here! We made reservations which was not easyI tried online and called and finally after the 3rd attempt, we got a reservation.

We didn't stay a night but went to the hotel for lunch.A buffet was the obvious choice to have as it was the day's special.Great range of nice food for $18.50 each.Include hot and cold choices and a range of desserts and beverages..Recommended!
