Carmelita's - Rancho Santa Margarita

Had a wonderful dinner this evening at Carmelitas in RSM. The staff are kind, professional, and knowledgeable. Alex was our excellent server, and she was so nice and attentive. We were seated at a very nice high top table in the outside patio. It was a bit windy today, but the patio shades and rooftop made it quite comfy. We started with drinks and the amazing shrimp taquitos. The chips and salsa with bean dip were also scrumptious. For dinner, my wife had the chicken tostada salad, and I had the chicken fajitas. Both dishes were prepared and presented perfectly and quite tasty. The lake view was so nice, and the ambiance was just right. Highly recommended

Fantastic food service and restaurant next to a beautiful man made lake! The server Sebastian (and Kylie before we're super attentive (just a tad too much! but polite and friendly. Don't get me started with the amazing chips, so fresh, crispy and warm! They make a yummy black bean paste and serve with chips and salsa. Delicious!!

Food and service were excellent.will go there again for great Mexican cuisine. Great view e the lake with outdoor dining.

My friend and I were here last night for her birthday and it was a great choice! The food and service was amazing . From the chips salsa, to the guacamole, to the carnitas plate and the seafood enchiladas, to the yummy margaritas. Alana was our waitress and Leonardo assisted her from time to time. They were BOTH very attentive and efficient! Good Authentic Mexican Food, Highly recommend this place, We will definitely be back to see Alana and Leo!

Location is great. Patio area is great. Food is really good. Chips are terrible. I wish they would get a thicker chip as theirs break and really don't taste good. They're like eating air. I'm surprised no one has complained to them on these.
