Back Country Jack's Steak

We came here for dinner as there are not a ton of options in Radium. The food was So so. It was pretty busy when we got seated but it took a very long time to get our food. By the time we got our food, the restaurant was nearly empty. We waited a good hour for our food and had to wave the waitress down to get our drinks refilled. It took so long we couldnt get to the ice cream shop in time. Kids were disappointed. Will go somewhere else next time.

Hubby & I went here in late July on a hot summer night. Sat outside looking at some mountains. Had some drinks, ordered the rib steak. Our dinners came in good time, they were cooked perfect. Our plates were cleaned. We are easy to please and may have been a bit tipsy from wine and mountains:). We ate strip steaks, not what we ordered, didn't really notice or care til we were done. I was a server, I've made mistakes , so no biggee. We would go again.

Waitress was stroppy with my husband because she thought he had just sat down outside without "checking in" inside first. Another waitress had to put her right. Was advised that I couldn't go wrong with the Chicken or ribs, so Myself and my Son both had Chicken dinners and husband had endless ribs. (Sat night is Rib night) Ribs were mediocre and our chicken was cold and soooo dry that I couldn't swallow it, so left it. Daughters wonderful sounding Thai chicken noodle stir fry was frozen veggies in a taco bowl,sitting in a pool of grease!I pointed this out and just got a "sorry about that" with nothing else offered or taken off the bill. And the server didn't even thank me for her undeserved tip!Will definitely NOT be going back or recommending this place to any friends. They've got it cracked though, they're in a prime position, the only Western chicken and Rib style restaurant and they get away with bad service and selling absolute **** food!!

Sat on the patio, nearby smokers made things a bit uncomfortable. Food was okay, not a great selection of beer, not much to recommend this place.
