Contribuiți la feedbackNot to know the serviettes were really big, we ordered spicy winzer soup, curry with crumbsteak', and sweet and acidic huh." each dish had a lot of taste. I wished only the vegan options (or those who could be vegan) were clearly marked on the menu. They seem to use a lot of egg in line.
As we work near, we came here to lunch. the lunch menu costs about 4 dollars and includes a small suppe and a drink and they really serve it fast. my friends got the menu (from what I tried, it tastes good) and they let me unpack my own food that I had brought from home so I could join my friends. the only restriction: it had to be vegetarian. therefore recommended as lunch with colleagues.
It is about the restaurant that is on the road portugal and 6 de diciembre. beautiful place with many vegetarian dresses, several vegan options. a little expensive.
Very nice Chinese vegetarian lunches with soup, head course and dessert for just a couple of dollars! The soups are extremely tasty, and I always ask for second one. Head course usually brown rice with cooked veggies, and a salsa with soya or gluten mixed with veggies and usually something baked or fried with it such as an empanada or fried banana. The dessert is very tiny but healthy. I think its very tasty and you can eat very well in this place. The lunch room is clean and service is friendly and quick. I often ask for the vegan version too, which is the same with just a few tiny modifications.
Mile Time is a relatively new and slightly upmarket place in the Mariscal district. A majority of the dishes seem to be vegan, though there are a number of them that include eggs and some may have dairy, and the menu doesn't make it 100% clear, so vegans are advised to enquire. The very friendly owners speak English, but most of the servers don't (and even if asked in Spanish which of the dishes are vegan, they aren't necessarily sure but are happy to go ask). The menu offers several pages of options — mostly Chinese but with a nod to other Asian flavors and even a couple of Latin-influenced items. The two dishes i tried were tasty and well-prepared. The place seems reasonably health-conscious, though if you wish to minimize or avoid oil, it may require some conversation. There are fresh juices on offer, which i always appreciate. They don't advertise using any organic ingredients (as Quinua and El Maple do), so it might be worth offering the owners some encouragement. The atmosphere is very pleasant, with a large inner dining room and a smaller breezy verandah. At lunch, the place is packed with middle-class locals enjoying the set lunch specials. Prices are a little higher than the local norm (closer to what one would pay in the US), but i found it reasonable considering the pleasant, modern atmosphere and the very kind owners. It's conveniently located in front of the triangular park where Baquerizo diverges from Luis Cordero, and being next-door to a police station can't hurt from a safety perspective.
