Vezi toate recenziile.
Been eyeing this restaurant for a while now but only got to try it recently. I was impressed. The family really enjoyed the Moussaka, Lamb gyro, Solomos, and Souvlaki. Servings were generous, too, and the staff was accommodating.
The place is classy and comfortable. It needs better air conditioning though. The food is delicious! The Kos Salata: salad greens with figs, grapes, cheese, candied nuts, and sundried tomatoes. Good mix of flavors: sweet figs and grapes, sharp cheese, and sour tomatoes. Fresh and vibrant! A nice starter or pang-alis suya. The Moussaka: layers of eggplant, potato, and minced beef, smothered with Bechamel sauce. It's like lasagna, with potatoes and egpplant as noodles. What makes the dish delicious and unique is the subtle charred flavor of the meat, which is perfect with the creaminess of the sauce. Tasty, just heavy on the tummy. The Solomos is grilled salmon, with roasted vegetables and lemon oil. The fish is fresh and moist. It's also amply seasoned and perfectly grilled. Equally flavorful are the vegetables. Masarap! A good date dish, too! Kotopoulo: roasted chicken, served with a roasted red bell pepper sauce and potatoes. The chicken is tasty and well cooked. The herbs that flavored it are not too strong and overpowering. The chicken is also moist on the inside and crispy on the outside. The sauce is sweet and smoky, complementing the chicken. The potatoes are fresh and fried well. Sarap! Finally, dessert. Baklava and Greek coffee. The Baklava is made with layers of fillo pastry that's brushed with lamb butter, and nuts sweetened with rosewater syrup. It is served with a dollop of Greek yogurt. Crunchy and chewy, this dessert treat has a good mix of textures. The candy sweetness is floral, which some may find too strong. The yogurt tempers this sweetness. The Greek Coffee (actually, Turkish Coffee) makes for good dessert coffee. The thick caffeinated concoction has a round taste, and its bitterness is not too deep. It also has a fruity undertone. Perfect with the sweet dessert! Service is prompt and the waiters are warm and attentive.

After trying out Fika in Capitol Hills, I decided to try its sister establishment in UP Town Center. Kos Greek Ouzeri has been on my radar for quite some time and I'm glad I finally got the chance to try it out. FOOD: We had the Moussaka, Giovetsi and Kos salad. The Salad was a big disappointment. It was mostly just lettuce leaves with three walnuts, four slivers of shaved parmesan and about three grapes. The dressing was nothing special and I had to ask for extra. The salad was the most expensive thing we ordered too. (250) Luckily, the Moussaka and Giovetsi made up for the salad's shortcomings. The Moussaka came in a fairly large serving. It was rich and flavorful and it's great that they serve this with unlimited bread. The Giovetsi had only two lamb meatballs but the lamb flavor really came through. The orzo pasta was cooked well and the dish was well-balanced and tasty. For under 200 each, the two main dishes that we had were quite a treat. I would have to say that it was a great meal overall. One small issue I had was the airconditioning. It was on but appears to need some maintenance. The entire area was warm and was close to being uncomfortable. I hope they get that sorted very soon.
