I 've been ordering the same things here over the years because they 're my favorites and any branch I go to has always been consistent with the serving and the flavor: small #50 (flank, tendon, and meatballs pho), #16 on the menu, fresh spring rolls (shrimp and pork), and a BIG glass of brewed iced tea/lemonade. I like that they serve a lot of basil and bean sprouts you don 't get to use all of them but it 's nice to know they don 't scrimp on them. Some hoisin sauce and Sriratcha for those who prefer their pho spicy and you 're good to go. Their rice meals and salads are must tries too.
I'm glad that I was able to try this place! I was a bit skeptical at first because I thought that it wouldn't be distinct with its roots. Being known as a Vietnamese restaurant, Pho Hoa caters to a hefty selection of its cuisine. I have tried their Pho Nam, Bo Vien (Pho with Flank and Mushroom meatballs). It was very light and earthy(the flavors came from the mushroom and the cilantro). It is balanced by the tender and meaty flank its served with. I loved how the textures of the dish played to give it more character. The rice noodles were firm, the meatballs were soft and chewy, and the flank was fork tender. Another dish we had was the Vegetarian Cha Gio (fried Vietnamese rolls with pork, with lettuce). It is crisp, savory and not too oily. I just hoped that the vinegar was not too sweet.
My partner's comfort food of all time!!! Wouldn't get tired to dine here as long as she wants. There was even a moment where we eat here almost every after 10 days or we ear here to officially start our weekend; specially during situations where you really need a pho to alleviate your stress level. What's crazy was, no matter which branch we go, or what time of the day we arrive, we kinda keep on ordering the same thing Beef stew, Vermicelli bowl and fresh/fried spring rolls. Haha!
Pho hoa is still my fave restaurant whenever I crave for noodles their serving is good for two and you get your money's worth ambiance is
I wanted to try a new dish so I ordered Beef Brisket (Php 275) I like the sauce of the beef since it wasn’t as sweet and the consistence was perfect for mixing with rice. Then my boyfriend ordered Grilled Chicken, Veggies and Fried Rolls (Php 300) and my favorite Fresh Spring Rolls (Php 155). My boyfriend knows me too well. I really like their peanut sauce. So tempted to ask for extra sauce, maybe next time.
