Soneros - Queens

The restaurant is small and plays good music. I'm not looking to eat a lot, but the service is friendly. Overall, I would rate it 4 out of 5.

The drinks were absolutely amazing! We enjoyed margaritas that had the perfect balance of sweetness, strength, and saltiness. We also tried the Jalea, which was cooked to perfection. The fried calamari, fish, and shrimp, all topped with sliced onions and green sauce, were incredibly delicious. The chicharrón pieces were great as well—just the right amount of crunch and saltiness. The service was prompt and friendly. The atmosphere was lively, with good music and a DJ standing by. We will definitely be back!

It appeared that the owners and staff only really cared about customers they recognized. We had to wait 20 minutes to be seated while several newcomers received warm welcomes and were immediately attended to. After standing around in an empty restaurant, the server finally acknowledged us with an eye roll when we asked to see the drink menu. When we asked for a moment to look over the menu, she rolled her eyes again and never returned to the table. Overall, it seems like a family-run establishment that prioritizes their own over new customers. The service was simply unacceptable, particularly if you aren’t a family member or friend. We won’t be coming back.

While placing an order he noted that I was white and thought I only spoke English. I heard him whisper under his breath “ pinche cuño”. Very disrespectful restaurant. This is not proper etiquette and respect.

Great place to go eat and have a drink, waitresses are frendly
