Chile Rojo - Puerto Viejo de Talamanca

We had an amazing dinner for two at this restaurant! The menu had a variety of options and we decided to try it out. The tuna with balsamic dressing was the best I've ever had, and the mahi mahi in curry sauce with shrimp was perfectly cooked and delicious. We haven't had food this good anywhere else in the area. The service was great, and the owner even came to each table to check on how we were enjoying our meal. He also recommended other restaurants in the area for us to try. It was a completely satisfying evening, and we only wish we had a place like this in New England where we live!

This is one of the best sushi restaurants we have ever been to. The food is authentic and delicious, the owner is Japanese, the location is by the beach, and the tuna and guacamole dishes are must-tries. Additionally, the all-day happy hour is a definite bonus. This place is a must-visit.

The food at this restaurant is fantastic! We tried the ribs and fish of the day, both recommended by the owner Andrew, and they were both delicious. The mashed potatoes were a standout, not dry or bland like at other places. Andrew also provided great wine and drink suggestions. He is attentive and an interesting person to chat with. The only downside was some loud street performers that night, but Andrew took care of it. Overall, a great dining experience.

AMAZING food. If I could rate this a 100/5 stars I would. I got the coconut curry soup with tofu—absolutely AMAZING. Not only the best Thai I’ve had, but easily the top 3 best meals in my life. Thank you to the owner, Andrew, and our server, for making this a truly wonderful experience. Very vegan friendly too! The fried ice cream was also a hit!
