We were here around October 20th, just before the end of the season. Therefore, two/three dishes from the menu were out or no longer available that evening, as the purchasing quantities are of course completely different than in season better that way and fresh, no problem. service Everything about this is in the reviews, there is nothing to add. Eat well, everything is fresh and typical of a tavern in the “country”. The grill gave everything. Personally, it was all cooked way too much for me; in terms of taste, because of the seasoning, you had to concentrate on different types of meat in order to taste them. Tzatziki disappointing, fries soggy. Ambiance very simple, terrace right on the main road, correspondingly loud, as the speed recommendations in towns are usually not observed

We came to Giannikos Tavern in 2019 when a Cretan friend brought us here. We came back this week. A table for 10 outside with a lovely chilled atmosphere. Met by the owner we were quickly served drinks and the food, when it came was fantastic. Whether mixed grill, lamb kleftiko, sea bream, mousakka or souvlaki. Finished off with Grappa that Giannikos provided even allowing us to take some grappa back to our villa for the driver). Fantastic evening. Great taverna, great value. Well worth a trip!
