The only reason I give this place 1 star is our waitress. we have visited this so-called restaurant to 5 locations over a period of 2 years. our first experience was good, but it has steadily declined since....Can I emphasize slow! our server are in the regular friendly and fast with the drinks, but our eating always takes forever. Today we waited for over 2 hours, no eating, so decided to cancel our order, then suddenly our food comes in take-out bags. When we came home, it was such a brutal chaos. this place has so much potential with its cozy interior and beautiful location on the water, but unless they have 3 hours to kill to get a sandwich to lunch, then I suggest they go elsewhere. I do not think we will be back and will not recommend this location, and instead of the manager who writes apologies for everyone, he should fix the problem
I ordered kale caesar salat for $2 extra instead of fries, it was small and about 90% salat and 10% calf. also ordered the brownie for dessert it was underboiled and not warm.
Hey, this place has a great look, super beautiful location and if you reserve a table, watch the challange of people go out of the craft. the ice water is good, I'm sure the drinks are too, but I'm eating and I was here three. time is bar not the worst at all. also very expensive. I ordered the most expensive bark dish on the menu and was on a dinner evening dinner. the bark was lumping by Stew-Rind, that we both had to shoot together, it was like a piece of rubber ball. we both saw the common reaction and had to laugh. I will not comment further, as there are more. Don't eat them here. they accused us and ruined our dinner completely.
A part time resident of Powell River, I took an out of town guest to The Shingle Mill on November 11 for lunch. It is a spot I love to take people because of the location and updated menu. The Bistro was busy and there...were only 3 servers. We finally got seated and ordered drinks which came quickly. We then ordered our meals from an obviously new server, and waited....and waited......and waited...... I eventually asked about our meals (salads, perogies) and was told 'They were coming. and we waited...After well over an hour, our orders came.(the place was empty now) and the Taco salad was soggy, the Cobb salad disappointing and the Perogies overcooked and not very hot. The Focaccia bread that was ordered with the salad was priced at $9 for one small slice! After complaining, they did refund the $9 but the server was very rude. In a small town, bad news travels fast. I won 't be back!
