Contribuiți la feedbackFriendly staff, service was a touch slow even though the restaurant was mostly empty, Coconut lime daiquiri wasn't great, garlic Naan was good, butter Naan was okay, cheesy truffle bread was very good, roti not great, and lamb biryani was just okay.Good to have more Indian in the area, but nothing special here.
We chose this because we had a couple of nights in the Hyatt Place hotel which is only 5 mins walk away, and all other restaurants were more difficult to reach. But the Tamarind turned out to be excellent and we had dinner here two nights in a row. Their menu is very extensive, with Indian, Chinese, and other far-eastern items. The service was also good, with friendly staff. The wine list was a bit limited, but had enough to satisfy us for two nights.
The expansive menu was impressive....even more so, the food. Welcoming and efficient service. I wish we had this restaurant in our SoCal area!
I really want to give them more stars, but the fact is that, even though they provide five star service, the size of the portions and result of some of the modifications, due to my allergies, just did not really cut it for the price. The non-was really good, the roti overcooked. The butter chicken was good but the portion was way too small for $17. The biryani with shrimp was nothing more than rice with shrimp and spice. No peas, no vegetables whatsoever and it fell flat on the size for $20. The shrimp were large, and there weresix of them, but it really was nothing more than a spicy rice with shrimp, not a biryani. Would I try them again? Yes, but not for takeout. Next time, I'll take my daughter to dine in.
Stopped by on a Monday night and we hit the food jackpot. The first thing that stood out was how clean the restaurant is and how much attention to details and decorations. The Indian food is amazing. It was restaurant week so they had a three course meal offer. We had lamp chops, goat with rice, and for dessert we had the brash malai. We had two side orders of lentil soup (highly recommend) and also the dumplings noodle soup. It's not the traditional dumplings you might have had but it was decent. I could do without the noodle soup. The drive here was well worth it. Thank you for the great service and amazing food.
