I had an amazing and unique dinner at this restaurant—it's a must-visit in the city. The salad was simple yet fresh and full of flavor. The hanger steak was a first for me, and it was incredibly delicious; I highly recommend trying it. The fruit cake was fresh and simply perfect.

The Beech is a well-known spot in Poughkeepsie and has been a local favorite for years. Their extensive menu features fantastic daily specials that never disappoint. The owner is a friendly and humorous person, which adds to the welcoming atmosphere. They also craft excellent drinks and consistently have something new on tap to try.

My favorite spot in Poughkeepsie! The menu is smaller, but they offer new special appetizers and a curated selection every day, along with an extensive variety of craft beers. Everything here is consistently excellent. Some of my top picks include the mozzarella crostini, hanger steak, cheeseburger with aged cheddar on an English muffin, baby spinach salad with goat cheese, and the orange BBQ chicken sandwich. Plus, you can't beat the quality 20-ounce craft beers for just $6.50!

Had a friend I hadn't seen since high school, along with her man and 2 youngs on Wednesday. I cost the food. the waitress was attentive. the restroom was clean. because the bar is in the same room, it was a bit loud and sometimes difficult to hear our conversations. overall it was very good. would return and would recommend others.

I am a frequent diner of this establishment and applaud the consistent, flavorful and quality meals that are able to be created from a kitchen the size of my coat closet. I highly recommend Beech Tree for a fun, casual night on the town. The service is good, the food is fantastic and they won't rush you out once you're done. Favorite staples of mine include the cornmeal calamari, soba noodle salad and hanger steak!
