Clara Barton National Historic Site

Visit them when they are in the glen echo area. clara barton lived here later in her life. they must be accompanied by a park ranger to the interior of the house. the tour is worth it and takes about 1 hour. they are about the history of the house and what it was used (no spoiler.) there are every hour tours. check the NPS website for the timetable.

My parents actually lived there during WWll times. There are tales to tell.

The grounds were beautiful. Unfortunately still closed due to covid but there were brochures on the porch we could get and read about this historic location.

House not open but inspiring to be here and know about this inspiring woman who formed the American Red Cross.
