Zé Bota - Porto

I can’t say enough amazing things about this restaurant! We were lucky enough to have dinner with our 2 kids here and were treated like family. Our lovely waiter carried around our 3 month old daughter so we could eat in peace and lovingly played with our son. That alone would have been amazing but the food was outstanding. Extremely tender pork shank, delicious seafood risotto, and extensive wine list. Would have eaten every meal here!

Interesting local, small restaurant that is near the end of a small street. As others have mentioned, wine crates line the walls. Lots of local Portuguese dishes on the menu. We had the octopus salad and fish and rice. Both were filling and well-prepared. Good house wine, also,

Really one of the best meals ever in this beautiful cozy local neighbourhood restaurant. We had padron peppers and shrimp to start but the star attraction is the medallions of veal which come with tasty veg and fried potato crisps. The veal (medium) is the most tender and tasty I’ve ever tasted (ps the photo is for two people). Finished off with banoffee. Oh and don’t forget the wine had a bottle of Douro region white for only €17, a real gem. Need to book in advance as it was full.

Probably our best overall meal in Portugal. Service was excellent, wine and food recommendations spot on. The veal was amazing, the black Iberian pork so full of flavour, and the Banoffee pie classically delicious

O bacalhau do Zé Bota é muito bom. 100% recomendado, é um prato farto, saboroso e perfeito para partilhar. O local é muito agradável, aconchegante e tranquilo; Além disso, a equipe é extremamente amigável. Você pode comer perfeitamente por 25-27€ por pessoa.
