Universal Comida Tradicional Portuguesa

A place that represents Portuguese hospitality very well! Most dishes are very inexpensive: around €9. The quantities are very generous and the products are of the highest quality. Special mention goes to the service, which is at the top, and of a great kindness. Obrigado!

We were so lucky to eat the last meal of our trip to Portugal at Restaurante Universal, as it was a wonderful experience to add to the many great memories of our holiday. The welcome was so friendly, and the staff were great in helping me use my limited Portuguese to understand the menu and some of its Brazilian influences. The food we ordered was incredible, both in its quality and generosity! We ridiculously overate, but loved every minute of it. The atmosphere in the restaurant was lovely and we would really love to go back when next in Porto.

Small but lovely restaurant and the prices are excellent. They don't speak English at all, but the service was excellent. In Porto and generally in Portugal is expected that they put entrances in some places without advice, so if you don't want it, ask them to remove it.

Descoberta muito agradável, local acolhedor e familiar, cozinha generosa, farta e suculenta. Bacalhau cozinhado como em nenhum outro lugar. E tudo isso por um preço ridículo. Vá lá de olhos fechados, você vai voltar, é o meu caso

Simplesmente fenomenal. Comida caseira, atendimento muito bom e preço bastante razoável.
