Contribuiți la feedbackLet's agree upfront that the atmosphere is very basic. There are a few churrasqueiras in the neighborhood, but this one is small, quite popular with the locals and you will likely have difficulty at finding a table at 19:30. Has another TA contributor had suggest, I asked for the squid, but they were out, so we settled for the grilled chicken breast with tomato salad and rice (instead of french fried) and 1/2 liter of local wine. All in all, we paid 11€ for two people ... what a bargain. Highly recommended.
The seafood is very nice. The grilled chicken was well grilled and delicious. The service was a bit slow but that could have been the language barrier.
Man the grilled salmon is to die for, and the half bottles of local wines makes for a cheap and tasty meal, friendly staff who really look after you if you are return trade.
Já fui a esta adega duas vezes, sempre a quinta-feira, que é o dia do cozido. Uma maravilha. Quem gostar do cozido aqui é o lugar certo. Convém ir cedo, por volta do meio-dia a casa já está cheia.
We were staying close to this adorable spot and while we couldn’t decipher all of the menu, we wanted to try something less touristy, and more local. So glad we did. We could only understand a few words on the menu and from the owner (who was so kind and patient with us) and were so happy with our delicious dinner. It’s almost always a good idea to get out of your comfort zone and visit a place the locals seem to like. The dinner, bread, wine, dessert for only $7.50 euros per person is unbeatable. One of the best experiences we had while staying in Porto; highly recommend. Just know that there is no English spoken but you can get by with knowing a few words of Portuguese and google translate.
