Ramona's - Portland

This place is an absolute gem! Had the pleasure of eating here while on a trip and got to talk to the owner who was behind the counter grinding but still gave me the time of day to chit chat and wish me a great day! Sandwiches are unbelievably big and worth every penny. Eat here, tell all your friends to eat here, do not sleep on this place. So good!

My kinda place. Small, has a vibe, and good food. Breakfast sandwich was pretty respectable; maybe a little heavy on the egg-to-porkroll ratio, but pretty good. Hopefully I have a chance to swing by again and check some more stuff out before I leave town!

Their roast pork is the closest to a good ole South Philly roast pork (get it with long hots and chili spread). Their hoagie is excellent. I make a weekly trip from 45 minutes north just to grab a sandwich and sit in a local brewery. Service is right on top of things. No matter how long the line at the counter is, someone always asks if I called in an order and then they hand me my order to me.

The turkey caesar slaps…Classic Italian hot peppers also a banger!

I would give this a lower review if I believed in doing it.The sandwiches were good to really good HOWEVER to charge $46 for two sandwiches is insane, truly insane.
