Duckfat Frites Shack - Portland

Duckfat has always been one of my favorite spots, but yesterday's experience was disappointing. We stopped by for takeout around lunchtime and encountered a middle-aged woman in a beanie at the window, and her attitude was terrible. It was some of the worst service I've ever had at a restaurant. She barked at us about what we wanted, and when we asked a simple question about the sauce for the wings, she responded in the same unfriendly manner. After we received our food, I thanked her, but all she could muster was a disinterested "yeah sure." It was puzzling, especially since this location typically has some of the best service I've experienced. It seemed like she was having a rough day. The food was still good, but I left feeling let down by the service. Additionally, there was a 5% fee added to our bill that goes directly to them, which was disappointing.

My kids are clamoring to return for the milkshakes and poutine! Everything was fantastic! Our experience was exceptional, starting with the friendly host and lasting until the very end. I would highly recommend this place!

The food is incredible, and the Shack location is ideal with ample seating available. You can also enjoy drinks from the brewery. The atmosphere is relaxed and suitable for families.

This place has great ambiance and service! The food is good, but maybe not thatttt good after an hour wait in line. Definitely get the chicken and fries, but I felt like the fries weren’t as fresh and crispy as advertised.

On travels from the UK. An American couple said we had to try Duck Fat Fries Shack. I'm glad we did, really tasty food, we had the pork belly version. Would recommend if you're nearby.
