Clam Portland

I wish I could give this place 6 out of 5 stars, it was incredible. The parking situation wasn't great, but once we found a spot, our group had a wonderful lunch. The outdoor space, with some indoor seating, was very inviting. We were able to bring our dog and sit outside without any issues. The menu had a lot of variety, and the drinks were creative. Everything we tried, from the oysters to the hot dog, cheese dip, and more, was excellent. My spicy margarita was also top-notch. The service was helpful throughout. I highly recommend stopping by, and I will definitely be back next time I'm in Portland.

The restaurant was a letdown. It had a great location, was well-designed, and had friendly staff. However, the clam chowder and crab cakes we ordered were not up to par. The chowder was overly salty and had a thin broth instead of the traditional creamy base. The crab cakes had a texture more similar to chickpea or lentil patties and lacked the taste and texture of real crab. They were served with a tasty but overpowering tomato and pepper sauce that masked the flavor of the cakes. Overall, we were disappointed with our meal. If we return, it will likely only be for drinks.

Awesome menu. Lobster rolls were excellent. Crab dip was excellent. Vibe is great especially when weather is nice.

Stopped by for lunch during the Labor Day weekend. I ordered the clam chowder and the lobster roll. The chowder was delicious, and the portion was huge. The lobster roll was my personal best ever.My wife ordered the crab cakes. Our friend ordered the fish and chips. They decided to share their dishes.They were both surprised by how big the portions were. Both thought the crab cakes were very good. Almost entirely crab. Both commented that the fish tasted very fresh and that it had the right amount of crunchy coating.Now we're hoping that they're not going to close for the winter because we want more!

Amazing new spot right by the water in Portland. Great beer selection and the food is fantastic!
