I don’t often write reviews only for the best and worst places. I’m really sorry but I have to agree with the negative reviews here, which, in trying this place for the first time, I had hoped I would not. There was a decent wait for the food, given it was a Monday night, but that didn’t affect us. The main meals were all ok. However, the chips were, I’m sorry to say, some of the worst chips we have ever had as a family of four. They were packaged in bags and not the boxes promised. They didn’t smell good when I opened them up to serve (overused frying oil the smell you expect from a doughnut place on the beach sometimes)…but what concerned me and put me off was the shiny grease all over the chips with no crispiness whatsoever…to the point that they were all stuck together. They were very expensive too (almost £5 for a large we had that and a medium) but again, that’s ok if they taste good. Concerned about the fat level, I only tried a few of what was on my plate…they were terrible. Sloppy, greasy and tasteless. The children and my husband all said the same and the kids and I have already got dodgy stomachs. I’m really sorry I hate to leave a bad review. But the chips shouldn’t have even left the shop, let alone been served. Next time, I’ll bake my own in the oven….

Been using this chippy for years the last 3 times I've been in the food has been a let down so wont be using again. soggy chips or over cooked like they have been reheated. Not sure weather you have changed produced or the chefs. Maybe you need to have a look. So disappointed as loved your chicken nugget meal as my weekly treat

Supposed to be award winning, if you look behind the counter it looks like a dumping ground stuff all dumped on an old frier and the place looks like it hasn't had a deep clean in years, I dread to think what it's like behind the partition wall. I had a jumbo sausage and chips £7.80 the sausage was was obviously the cheapest they could buy, no taste and very compressed, the chips were OK lots of small crispy bits (not edible), on leaving I'm surprised I didn't notice before going in all you can smell is old fat. Never to return !!!
