Le Cobh - Ploërmel

With friends for my men's birthday. Restaurant beautiful inside greeted by the staff who were very friendly and all spoke really good English, which was a nice surprise for everyone concerned about not flowing in French. Really nice menu included vegetarian. Two of us had calf and two of us had cod. The food was fabulous, well prepared and pious. Would definitely recommend and have to return.

On the way to our destination, we decided to have a lunch stop in Ploermel to visit beauriful and very large church there, in the guide of Logis de France, where le Cobh (the name of the Irish town with which it was twisted) stood...out with a 3 pan qualification for his restaurant. We were early, so waited about fifteen minutes in the hotel lobby, after which a nice young waiter invited us. My wife, partly to foie gras, had a very juicy veal steak after it, while I had shark, the catch of the day, both very well prepared. The waiter and the receptionist Biss spoke perfectly English, A nice surprise for a lunch stop, the receptionist said it was a quiet day taken with about ten tables, the day before it was full during the lunch hour, he told us.. Very good restaurant, warmly recommended!

Every time we visit the area we lunch at Le Cobh and have never been disappointed. The menu can read a little strange to us English but believe me it tastes good. English speaking staff can explain the menu which is helpful. it is Plat...du jour raised to fine dining levels. Two visits in the last 4 weeks says a lot. I cant say enough about how good this restaurant really is.

Stayed just the one night in an enormous family room, though we were just two, as the hotel was very quiet mid-week. The service was excellent as was the food. Very nouvelle cuisine! Would recommend this hotel/restaurant unreservedly. Be aware, should you use the car...park to the rear, that access is quite 'tight ' Would definitely use again.

C'est excellent, recherché, raffiné.Cuisine élaborée pour l'essentiel avec des produits locaux.De la gastronomie à un prix très abordable. Bravo !
