Contribuiți la feedbackMusic was beautiful! Loved the musician's choices, but we were so close to music, it was difficult to hear each other. I would choose the back room in the future. The pasta/cauliflour dish was very tasty. My husbands chicken parm very good also, I did have to send mine back one time, as pasta was cold and cauliflour was warm. Had the lychee martini, very tasty. Would come back and sit elsewhere. Server was very attentive.
We had a very different experience than other diners. We visited Vivace because the chef is a native of our hometown, Pittsburgh PA we wanted a Pittsburgh quality meal: Appetizers, soup entree. Instead, it was a disappointment from beginning to end. We arrived at 4:15 pm because we had a 6:00 pm commitment nearby. A server acknowledged us, then disappeared. Another server seated us we waited to place a drink order. When my wine arrived, the server said my wife 's cocktail would arrive soon. After about 10 minutes, Tommy delivered her cocktail apologized for the delay. Our server never returned. We had to flag another server to place our appetizer, soup entree order. The soup arrived before our appetizers. While finishing our appetizers, another round of soup was delivered to our table. A third round of soup was delivered as we waited for our check. You can 't make this stuff up. Meanwhile, two young boys played on the ledge beside our booth. At one point, a woman approached us, apologized, and said she would comp a dessert. At 5:15 pm we asked our server about the status of our entrees. She said she would check, but we asked to have them boxed to go and requested our check. We didn 't mention the offer of a comped dessert. We 'd had enough. The wine cocktail were excellent. The wedding soup a Pittsburgh staple was bland. The meatball appetizer, while tasty, was served warm, not hot. The garlic knots were dry, but swimming in garlic oil, which the runner dripped all over the floor in front of our booth. (Kindly mopped up by Tommy. The entrees? TBD; small portions saved for another day. Disorganization was apparent throughout our visit. This was not a staffing issue. There were no more than 5 tables dining when we left, with at least 5 staff on hand, chatting at the back of the room. Unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing dining experiences we 've experienced in South Florida.
This was our first time and everything was delicious! Service was excellent as well, will definitely be back. If there was one thing I wish were different though, it was the volume/energy of the music. It was pretty loud, which was a little too stimulating for me as far as a dinner vibe goes (found it difficult to relax . There was a special event happening at the restaurant at the time, so maybe that could have been the reason for the music. Otherwise, great food, great service, great place, looking forward to trying again! :
This was our first visit to Vivace Italian Restaurant. Based on sych fine experience it will hopefully be the first of MANY dining visits moving forward. My particular meal, veal marsala was fabulous. The bottle of wine was delightful. The value of the overall dining experience pleasantly exceeded our expectations for such a large order which included two appetizers, bottle of fine wine and 4 adult meals or servings and 1 child serving. The ambience of the atmosphere was very nice. Afterwards, following dinner we moved over to the bar lounge area and enjoyed a few nightcap adult libations and enjoyed listening to the live music entertainment. A saxophonist! Finally, the bartender, Tommy, was the cherry on the top in terms of providing for us, completing an overall beautiful experience at Vivace this past Saturday night. Tommy provided outstanding customer service thereby providing a positive last impression as our night wrapped up. Tommy represented the Vivace brand in an excellent fashion. He tended to us as IS HE WAS THE OWNER! THANK YOU, TOMMY! We definitely plan to return soon!
I am a local and this is the 3rd different restaurant bar in Plantation in the past few weeks where I’ve been told by the staff there’s no happy hour. I went on Sunday at 5 and I checked their website first. I asked the bar man what was included in happy hour and he said there is no happy hour on a Sunday. So either false advertising, or the owners are short sighted or the staff are afraid of less tips from half off drinks. Either way I’ll drive further to go to a different Italian next time. I would say local punters are important in a place like Plantation which is less touristy than say Fort Lauderdale.
