Yellowwood Cafe - Pietermaritzburg

Definitely worth a visit. The surroundings are beautiful, the waterfall in the distance is gorgeous. The staff were lovely, the coffee was strong and the scone was yummy. The farm animals are nice for children as is the jungle gym. And it is pet friendly.

We enjoyed a delicious veggie burger with a beautiful view of Howick Falls. The only downside was the side sauce, which didn't quite hit the mark. Nonetheless, it's a fantastic spot to unwind and have a relaxing lunch.

This restaurant is a fantastic spot for children. It features a play area with jungle gyms, animals, and room to run around. The stunning views of Howick Falls make it a true hidden gem! The food and drinks were delicious, and everyone had a great time. The main building, a converted old house, has intriguing rooms and historic artifacts inside, which captivated the kids.

Located in the quiet village of Howick, this restaurant boasts a wonderful setting off the beaten track. It is clearly designed to be kid-friendly, with a large play area and even donkeys roaming in a nearby paddock. While the view of the falls is impressive (as seen in photos), it's a pity that the path leading closer to it is closed off for some reason. However, the food here is excellent and reasonably priced. I especially enjoyed the beef curry pie, which was flavorful and just the right portion for lunch. The service was also top-notch. For a peaceful getaway with stunning views, this restaurant is a great choice.
