Silver Bean Cafe - Peterborough

Before visiting the restaurant, I reached out to make sure they could make a grilled cheese sandwich for me using clean utensils and a frying pan. However, when I arrived and placed my order, the staff seemed unsure and mentioned that there were crumbs everywhere. While they did agree to accommodate my request, they seemed unsure about the timing of my meal. In the end, I felt safe eating there but thought the staff could use more training.

The cafe is located in a nice spot by the water in Millennium Park, but the coffee was disappointing, and one drink order never arrived.

I ordered from Silver Bean to cater a lunch for 15 people for work. The food was delicious, and competitively priced. Food was healthy and hearty, and everyone enjoyed their meal. Everything was delivered on time and I was able to pay at a time convenient to me. Lots of options and they took allergies into consideration. Highly recommended.

This is a very peaceful and relaxed place to sit outside in the summer and have a homemade juice, salad, or sandwich. You order inside, and someone brings it to you when its ready. I guess the highlight for us was our large freshly squeezed lemonade and strawberry juice.....not too sweet and lovely tasting. Our 'zesty' tuna panini turned out to be not particularly zesty and rather small....but the cheese was good and nicely melted. Enjoyed it. THe garden salad it comes with is pretty good with fresh baby spinach, lettuce, and strawberries. The beet salad w. the goat cheese and candied almonds was also very nice. And its so nice to sit up high by Little Lake.......where there's lots of foliage and the antics of a mother sparrow and her almost grown baby.

Well it's official my husband and I had our first stop here of the summer! We absolutely love the view! We took our four month old and had a great lunch on the patio overlooking the water. Great summer atmosphere. There is usually always a wait for food as it is a very busy spot on nice hot days but that's totally fine by us! The food is made to order and you can taste the fresh quality ingredients. We always get the sandwich and salad plate and a grazing plate so we can share everything! We have never been disappointed with the food, like I said nothing beats food made to order!
