Ray's Delicatessen Tavern - Petaluma

On my way out to the coast with Teabiscuit to snag some oysters for the BBQ and just had to stop at Ray's Delicatessen for a quick sandwich. And, I'll tell you why...the last time I went out there hungry, I ate 40 bucks worth of oysters before leaving. Ol Teabiscuits coming with me because he's never seen an oyster before ...he's from South Dakota...the poor guy. That Ray's Deli sure smacks it out biggly! I couldn't decide between a ham or a turkey sandwich and said just surprise me. I got both, a true 50/50. 5 stars

Roast Beef Special is to die for! Layers of flavor that are cohesive and different. Great imaginative foods that are huge.

Perfect dutch crunch fresh bread on the outside patio

First time here, and now after trying food from Ray's, as a native Petaluman, I'm shaking my own head...I mean timing is everything, I know this, and yet it took me this long *I hold out my arms really wide* to try, why is that???Hands down, and up ? one of the best warmed up turkey-avocado sandwiches I've had in a long time, recommended to add aoli. Well balanced in flavors!

Had the French Dip, it was good. The bread was crunchy and light. It could of used a bit more meat. Otherwise was delicious, the aus just was a bit salty for me.
