Local very characteristic, helpful and courteous staff, quick service, cut to green pepper and exceptional rosemary. I'll be back.

I visited this restaurant on my first evening in Perugia as a solo traveller. I was a little anxious but the staff quickly put me at ease and helped me deal with the menu. I thought it was perfect, super flavoursome food including some house tasters. The house wine was good and I appreciated the artisan bread. It was busy and some might consider it a little noisy but I would rather be in an environment where people are relaxing and enjoying company of friends and the food rather than a quiet refined dining experience. I ate at several restaurants during my week in Perugia but I went to Altromondo twice.

Wonderful food and warm reception from a charming host! Delicious beans starter on the house and great house wine...lovely surroundings in an architecturally interesting building. Recommended!
