Ihop - Payson

On my second visit, they told me it would be a 40-minute wait, even though many tables were empty. I wrote my name down and was first on the list. After waiting 45 minutes, they again tried to skip me. I interrupted them and pointed out that I was first on the list and had been waiting. They seated me, but while I awaited my drink, I could hear the woman behind me complaining because they also tried to skip her. Eventually, I got my order taken but then waited an excessively long time for my food. By the time my meal arrived, the people who were seated after me had already finished and were ready to pay. When my food finally came, it was terrible. The cheese fries were made with processed cheese slices instead of the usual shredded cheese, and they were hard and unpleasant. I spent at least two hours there. The only positive aspect of this experience was that my waitress was very nice, unlike many of the other staff members who seemed unqualified for their roles. I won't be returning to this restaurant. It clearly needs new management and a completely new staff. I don't know what happened to this place, as it used to be good.

I ordered the patty melt, but they didn’t fully remove the paper from the cheese. There were five of us, and it took over an hour to be seated even though the place had plenty of open tables. Only two out of the five of us received the correct orders, and no one came by to refill our drinks.

Ihop in Payson is the worst. Service is terrible. The lady manager is not a people friendly at all. She is disrespectful towards several customers and doesn't seem to care either. I was listening to her talking to the customers comaining at the register. In my case, we waited 35 minutes and never got someone to take our order. There were only 4 tables occupied. It was 1:05pm on Tuesday afternoon. Not busy what excuses do they have to take so long or for us to be ignored. I worked in restaurant for 10 years as a Manager and General Manager. So I somewhat have a bit of knowledge in the business to say the least. Poor leadership and managent. There were 4 waitresses too. The date was 6/28/22 from 1:05pm-1:40pm. First and last time. I stood and ask her how come we sat here for 35 minutes and never got our order taken? The waitress said, not sure! She turned to another lady and said that's the manager. Then she said: These people been seating here for 35 minutes and never got their order taken. And the manager said: No way! I said that's all you can say? Wow! Now I know why you don't hardly have any customers in here. Have a good day! All 4 of us walked out and she never even said another word!

The food was tasty, but the service was mediocre. I'm not sure if they were short-staffed or what, but I had to wait 10 minutes just to settle the bill. After several attempts to get someone to assist us, I eventually just left cash on the table and walked out.

Slowest IHOP ever! We've been here several times, why we keep coming back..I don't know! One experience we waited 45 minutes for our food to get to the table. Other times, 30+. Today, not only did it take 10 minutes to get sat, 30 more to get our food, the pancakes were burnt, and COLD! As we're the eggs. Should I have to ask the waitress 4 times for creamer, and still not get any? So frustrated.
