A friend of mine who recently immigrated from Turkey applied for a job at a Turkish restaurant. The owner told him he would have a 2-week trial period before deciding whether to keep him on staff. At the end of the 2 weeks, the owner informed him that they did not want to keep him and also did not pay him for the 2 weeks of work. When I heard about this, I was extremely angry. It is truly shameful behavior on the part of the owner. This is a real situation and the owner is aware of their actions, as my friend is not the only one who has been treated unfairly. As for the food, service, and atmosphere of the restaurant, I would give all three a rating of 1.
