Al Shami Shawarma - Paterson

If you're visiting from the Middle East and have dinner here, the first thing you'll probably think is: "This is exactly how they prepare this dish back home in my country." The food is truly authentic.

This place lives up to the hype! The chicken shawarma is unique and took me back to a similar dish I had in Kuwait. The lamb shawarma looked incredible, but unfortunately, we weren't able to try the chicken-lamb mix as it was being prepared when we arrived at opening time. However, it's definitely on our bucket list to sample. Overall, it’s a great spot to enjoy a meal or take food to go.

Alshami has always been an excellent spot for Shawarma! My family and I frequently order from there, and the food consistently tastes just like it does in the Middle East. Their garlic sauce is also incredibly tasty. I definitely recommend this restaurant!

They only had chickens when I left. The taste of the chicken was excellent. The garlic sauce they do was one of the best. The frits were perfectly brewed and were beautiful and crisp. Definitely a 5-star chicken Shawrma Sandwich, I highly recommend this place. Waiting times can be a drag, but definitely worth waiting

Don't be fooled by their simple and to the point menu. It just means they are damn good at what they specialize in. Best shawarma you'll have in the area. If you come early, get their beef shawarma. It's even better than the already insanely good chicken.
