Enjoying the casting feature on large TV to watch apps on my phone. Nice size bathroom and great linens. Roof top bar great feature. Parking a bit tricky since parking is on street or nearby partner hotel. Easy access to great vineyards. .
The hotel is centrally located and walking distance to restaurants and shopping. We were very impressed with the rooms and the staff was helpful and friendly. Hotel was clean and everything looked to be recently renovated and well maintained . We will definitely be back.
I 'd really give more of an overall 4.4.... but I didn 't want to say 5 because it didn 't quite hit that mark. The rooms and the decor were super cute! There is PLENTY of storage, the bed is compfy, the wi-fi is good. There is a bar on the rooftop that is open to the public, we never made it there, but the vibe seemed fun, and it looked great. The lobby small wine bar is ALSO open to the public and it was a nice place to sit and have wine. I LOVE LOVE LOVED the Piccolo/Paso pillows and would buy one if they would have let me.There were a few things that I think keep it from being a five star experience1. It 's difficult to enter late at night, the keypad on the door in the alley to the courtyard didn 't always work, and there is no one manning the front desk, so you have to walk over to Paso Robles Inn to get someone to let you in. The night person there was surly to say the least.2. Complimentary continental breakfast is a lovely gesture, but it was exactly the same every day... pre-packaged pastries and an apple.So... I definitely wouldn 't say this was a value place. It tries to market itself as higher end. Starting at $355/night , but it just doesn 't hit that luxury hotel feeling. If you want to splurge on a room and a hotel, Hotel Cheval is considerably more expensive $515 , but that one DOES feel like a luxury experience.Would I stay here again? Hmmmmm... only if I got a really good deal. I 'd be happy to stay and pay what I feel it 's worth... in my opinion, that 's about $225 a night.
The facility is great! The sommelier Bryce was wonderful. The bar upstairs was a plus. While on Expedia it indicates breakfast is included, but the breakfast was a cold breakfast box. We also had to call 3 times to get it delivered.
Came here on a lark when United Airlines cancelled our flight, put us on a flight for the next day but shipped our bags home and provided no accommodations or any information. Deciding to take matters into our own hands we rented a car and drove from LAX north and decided to stop the night in Paso to take a break on the half way mark. We called this hotel after some web searching, while hubby drive, and they picked up; representative was gracious and told us there were a couple of rooms available and she gladly accommodated us on last minute 's notice. Nice for a Sunday night! We arrived about 6 pm and checked in. The hotel is well located, neat, clean, new and modern. The room was lovely more 'bare bones ' but had what 's needed TV, bed w/ two nightstands, toiletries, towels, coffee in room. In essence it 'got the job done. ' which isn 't bad and isn 't great it just is a good basic hotel room and hotel. Love that the lovely Italian restaurant next door is convenient and lovely coffee spot across the street is too. Only thing 'odd ' about the property is there is no front desk service after hours and they lock the front door until 8 am the next day. We left early to check out. NO coffee in the lobby, no one there to check us out. We left our key and a note that we were out and left to be on our way. It 's little 'barren ' in that regard because if you did need to speak with someone no one is there. I get they might not want someone on the night shift but someone should be on property starting at 6 or 6:30 am and ending at 10 pm. even if the last guest has arrived for the night (like we did at 6 pm). Anyway it was a good stay and got the job done. They had toiletry kits which were life savers since our bags weren 't with us. They were gracious. Price was right. Bed comfortable. Ambient light in the rooms a bit of a nightmare but we had a roof over our heads after silly airline antics so having a respite mid trip was a win. Piccolo offered that. Probably would do a resort or one of the boutique hotels if we were coming for a weekend but for what we needed they were fine.
