Been to Podium lately and saw this place several times, have a unique concept of putting their menu for the day on the blackboard literally black not the green one.It reminded me of the canteens or even carinderia that placed the offerings of day on the green board with white chalk . The atmosphere of the place is intimate ,with all the lighting and color scheme of the interiors. They can even lit a candle while you're having your lunch or dinner. The food,we ordered this salmon ginataan dish forgot the name, salmon croquetas, quesadillas, chicken ala casa. What really impressed me are the salmon croquetas and the salmon in coconut milk. The croquetas was very nice crunchy salmon balls with aioli dip. ,The salmon in coconut sauce amazes me,the sauce is not that heavy on the belly very light without compromising the coconutty taste, the salmon itself was cooked in a French way not that flaky dry that is the usual for any salmon dish. The chia casa a very basic dish but very tasty and the chicken is moist tho the meat are breasts ,yummy potatoes too.Rice are fluffy too, overall happy experience. Service prompt and staff are knowledgeable and cordial.Even Chef Michel smiled at us. They also have promos for BDO employees working nearby.

Biased, non-objective review about my feelings on Blackboard. I had no idea why we decided to eat here, but I was feeling Mexican then I saw Burrito on their menu and I was set. Their Burritos were so dry and dense, the beans was so overpowering that everything pretty much tasted like mushed beans in a pita, with little meat to go around. They had a jalapeno-based dipping sauce that was just all the wrong flavors, and the accompanying nachos felt like it came from SM Bonus. Their Quesadillas were really salty and honestly, even Taco Bell Quesadillas would be better. However, their ribs were really soft. The service was relatively slow and the food was not worth the steep prices. A 350 peso burrito that was so disappointing and bland just isn't something you go back for.
So here the menu is placed in a blackboard. The point is to provide new items on a regular basis. 2 of 3 of what we had should be changed. What's good was their pork belly. It was served In two huge long portions. It had a nice sweet and salty taste that stays for awhile. What's not is their Pollo dela Casa. It had mostly diced potatoes with chicken. It was bland to perfection. I was tempted to ask for salt. Their Hummus was served like mashed potatoes. It was dense and lacked olive oil to make it a smoother texture. Like the Chicken, it made no impression to me. alwayshungry.ph
