The Road House Manila Bay - Pasay

Been coming to this bar for years. I love the aura, the live music, and the good food and beer. Love the fact that they play music I could actually relate to - the Blues: the whole place is dedicated to it - the interior is filled with posters and decorations, even guitars hanging on the wall - all dedicated to a sacred music. Even the bands are amazing - Ian Lofamia Band are my favorite (Ian's great with the harmonica, plus he can pull off a Howlin Wolf/BB King voice). It really is great to be drinking beer to your kind of music. The staff is very friendly, the food is great, I like their burgers in particular, and the service is really fast. The only complaint I have is that the establishments next door constantly compete with the music, I think it's Icebergs - they have their own guy singing outside with a guitar that's out of tune, and a constipated voice - huge downside if you're a smoker, you have to sit outside and though The Roadhouse has speakers outside... read more

This is a nice place to eat for the evening. The beer is cold and it is a safe atmosphere. Clearly they have a line up of very good bands. The food was passable but not great. I would not recommend going there for dinner, just bar snacks. It was rather pricey too.But in saying that they offer quality entertainment for the cover charge ... I noted all of the customers have a relaxed but not fun time. Just One thing. There was a quality band playing the night I was there. I have seen this band before in other venues. This band tends to get the really rocking environment. However the crowd this night seemed a little low eeb..You know, not really rocking .... It took me a few hours to work out why and then the reason screamed right back at me .. It was the road house staff. ... The all looked so grumpy or at least very serious. It was as if they had all just been told their pay was going to be reduced by half. Management? .. you can not have a fun atmosphere if your staff walks around if they have just been slapped in the face. There was no friendly hello, no welcome to the house, no smiles ever, your staff were a real downer. Management? You are in the hospitality industry. Key word HOSPITALITY.so show some. It is not just the fault of your staff, it is a fault managements not instilling a culture of fun and hospitality. It is not just enough to supply food and beer and entertainment. How about a welcome too?

Very good ambience and interior. Texas-y, Vegas vibe makes it fancy but I didn't really enjoy the band. Maybe when we had the chance to catch the other live bands I will enjoy my stay. I just think that kind of screamo/growl vibe is too much for the place. Restroom 3/5, crew 4/5. The food is nice though, it justifies a bit pricey tag. The beer buckets we're a bit too pricey for almost 600 pesos/6 bottles.

Nice place to have a drink. Good atmosphere and music. Music was very loud when I was there so chatting was difficult. Snacks were okay, I guess. I wouldn't come back unless my friends insisted.
