Contribuiți la feedbackOBSESSED. I have an Indonesian friend who recommended that I visit here in the Pasadena area…and it was one of the biggest food highlights. Perfect ambiance, classy but calming and welcoming and the 36 hour bone broth is no joke. I was thinking about the bone marrow dish for the next week. Pretty perfect modern take on Southeast Asian cuisine. Drinks are okay, nothing outstanding but run don’t walk for the food here!

Bone kettle is always consistently AMAZING. this week i went for my boyfriend's birthday and i just want to say they deserve a michelin star. the service is what stood out the most to me, such a perfect accompaniment to what was an OUTSTANDING dinner. this is one of the most amazing restaurants i have ever been to with flawless appetizers, small bites, and entrees. i got their khao soi from their specials menu, and it absolutely rocked my world. The oxtail dumplings are a flavor bomb that will have you licking the bowl clean, and we were given a complimentary pandan creme brûlée on the house for my boyfriend's birthday. EVERYTHING was a knockout. again, i have to attribute most of my joy here to the SERVICE. from the time we walked in, to the time we left, there was nothing but diligence, care, and comfort. the staff here are kind, helpful, and bright. they want you to enjoy their dishes the way they are intended, they will let you know how to make the best selection when it comes to protein, and they always have smiles on their faces, which i know working with a lot of people can be difficult to do. i think these gestures are truly what makes bone kettle so so soooo special. i will be coming back a third time just for a quick dinner sometime soon. i had an amazing time, this is a CONSISTENTLY amazing restaurant with the best service i have ever had from any restaurant i have ever been to, and they are more than deserving of being a michelin restaurant. they are stellar perfection. Parking: there is a parking garage not too far, a small walk from the restaurant. we stayed about an hour and paid $10.
This place has a very particular taste. We usually like anything, but this meal was nowhere near good. We ordered oxtail dumplings, ube gnocchi, bone marrow, and a bone broth ramen with brisket and one with steak. The oxtail dumplings were sour and fell apart when trying to pick them up. We returned it to the kitchen after one bite. This place automatically takes 20% from any table, no matter how many people. Which is great and all but don’t expect them to take food off your bill if you don’t like it because it’s terrible. The gnocchi also had a similar sour taste and the texture of the dish was off. The bone marrow is not worth the hype. The entire dish had no flavor. Maybe we got a bad one but I was assuming there to be SOME kind of taste. It was basically just eating fat that had no flavor. Lastly, the ramen. Where to begin… It was a glorified watered down chicken noodle soup. That’s what the broth tasted like. The noodles were from a packet of ramen, nothing special about it at all. It was served with plastic chopsticks which were not the best for grip. 0/10 do not recommend. This place was more Asian rather than Asian Fusion. It is definitely an acquired taste. We will not be back.
Great first time experience for me. From the greeting of the hostess to the end of our dinner, Their customer service was wonderful. Our orders were perfectly timed as not a lot of restaurants can do in that, especially on a Friday night. I Highly recommend Bone Kettle if asian fusion is your thing.
