Contribuiți la feedbackThe place We visited this charcuterie few days ago having booked a “table” for two. When we arrived we realized that no table is available and we had to stand like in a “stand up” comedy (or tragedy to be accurate). The place was small and messy with a 2 3 flies in the air to keep us company. The wine A lady who welcomed us suggested to buy a Moet Chandon rose champagne to accompany our dishes. This champagne which usually costs around €45 per bottle was sold for €135!!! When we denied we welcomed another suggestion come from the guy with the moustache for a completely unknown and dubious quality chardonnay (from Israel! not even Burgundy) at the price of €100!!! We finally ended up with a Chateauneuf du Pape 2018 blanc at the price of €69 which was the only decent option. The menu The “menu” consisted of two plates each; one with salami, pastrami e.tc. the other ones the first with salmon and the other one with fois gras and goose and duck bites plus handmade bread. The quality of dishes was good in general however not as good as in other top class salumerias in Italy (e.g. De Miccoli in Siena), in Spain (Merkado in Barcelona) or even Greece (Delimaris in Lefkada). Fois gras with figs was delicious however not good enough compared to Mavromatis in Paris. The value For these plus a slice of a poultry wellington we paid €274 (without a receipt) which is a shame considering that during our stay in Paris we paid less or the same price at Michelin starred restaurants (i.e. Mavromatis, OKA, Benoit). The conclusion If you would like to feel like an idiot please feel free to go there, I would never again do it so it is a shame.
Small traditional charcuterie with a great selection. Had the sesame bun with chicken and honey mustard absolutely perfect!
We picked up some buns and many meats here. Owner let us taste all of them before purchasing. All were excellent. He also has some wines, and recommended one. We have tried it, and it was excellent. Can be pricey but comes with excellent quality.
We called in here for an onion pletzel but were in awe of the cold meats and salads available. There was even space at the end ot the counter to have a glass of wine and an aperitif with the choice of the counter to taste!
Simply put, this man knows what he's doing. We came as a somewhat large group and Michel (and his lovely wife! walked us through an amazing tasting. Wine flowed, fantastic charcuterie was had...this is a TOP notch shop. Absolutely not to be missed. The duck pastrami was a personal favorite.
