Pizza Amore - Panama City

In the past, this restaurant was considered to be the closest you could get to authentic Italian and New York-style pizza. However, my most recent experience was disappointing. On May 22, 2022, I ordered two pizzas: one with double cheese and light sauce, and one with meat. The double cheese pizza had no sauce, which made it taste like a bland version of mac and cheese, and the meat pizza was rubbery, burnt, and cardboard-like. My attempts to contact the restaurant went unanswered, so I turned to Facebook for help, but only received a superficial apology. I asked for a refund of $58, but my messages were still ignored. Their response on Google was unhelpful, claiming they would inform their kitchen staff, who I later discovered are actually family members as this is a family-owned and operated business that doesn't hire outside workers. Beware of this place!

I was unaware that this evening would be your last night until I arrived to pick up my order. I inquired about your new location and expressed my love for your pizza. However, the pizzas I received tonight were completely inedible. If this is the quality we can expect, we will not return. It is disappointing that you are not answering the phone. I made two unsuccessful attempts to reach you between 7 and 7:30. I usually enjoy supporting local businesses, but I cannot believe that on your last night open for who knows how long, you would serve such horrible food. The pizzas were the worst I have ever had. We requested light sauce on the double cheese pizza, but it arrived with no sauce at all. Both pizzas were chewy and tasteless. Even trying to salvage the toppings from the pepperoni and mushroom pizza was futile. If you were not able to maintain your usual standards, why were you open for business tonight (Sunday, May 22, 2022)? I believe I am entitled to a full refund for my purchase.

They don’t seem concerned about customer service. They opened late the day we got there we were waiting in the parking lot when they arrived. They didn’t say anything about being late or mention anything about us having to wait for them to open. You seat yourself but they bring the food to your table and you pay up front at the time that you place your order at the counter. It’s very confusing since you tip when you order before you even sit down. The cashier is also the server. She may have been having a bad day? Maybe not maybe she is always the complete opposite of a bundle of joy and a ray of sunshine ‍. Maybe she was irritated our mere presence or maybe she was irritated that the pizza maker was late and he was her ride? No idea.but they did arrive together. The pizza had a good flavor it’s thicker than my ideal pizza but this pizza would be good for those who like pizza thicker than a real New York style pizza. The fries were burnt.. no way around it they were burnt, a huge basket of them and we ate them anyway. I’d give the pizza a 3/10 on my perfect pizza scale. Good flavor but way to thick for me. I would go back just for another basket of fries that aren’t burnt because that type of crispy battered looking fries are my favorite.

My son loved it! He said it tasted like mac cheese! Personally it was to dry for me but everyone has thier own opinion. We had an XL PEPPERONI PIZZA. As far as service they were wonderful, fast and reasonably priced.

Idk whether to blame the restaurant or Slice delivery. 2hrs and multiple calls, for doordash to deliver finally. Is slice through doordash? Or what? And the restaurant wouldn't answer. Pizza being 2hrs late of course was cold. Nearly $70. Never again Service: Delivery
